2-chevaux-copyDriving from Paris, the trip takes an hour and 40 minutes under optimal traffic conditions. More commonly it is a two-hour drive. From the A6, exit at Nitry, 10 km from Noyers, then take the D49.

Montbard, 30 km away and a 40-minute drive from Noyers, is served by the TGV from the Gare de Lyon in Paris. Paris-Montbard takes a little over an hour. TGV services from Paris CDG airport also serve Montbard, so if you plan your trip carefully you can take the train directly to and from the airport.

Tonnerre, 20 km away and a 20-minute drive from Noyers, is served by TER trains from Paris Gare de Bercy. Paris-Tonnerre takes an hour and 40 minutes, longer if a change of trains is required.

Coming from Paris by train, it is generally preferable to arrive in Tonnerre. The overall door-to-door travel time is the same, but costs for train and taxi are higher for Montbard.

For further information on trains in France, and to book:

One may travel by Eurostar from London to Lille, France, then transfer at Lille to a TGV for Montbard. The alternative is to take the Eurostar from London to Paris, then go by taxi or Metro to catch a train to Montbard from the Gare de Lyon or to Tonnerre from the Gare de Bercy. In either case, it is necessary to book the Eurostar and the French train separately.

For further information on the Eurostar, and to book:

If you are arriving by train in Tonnerre or Montbard and won’t be renting a car, you can arrange with us ahead of time for a taxi pick-up from Noyers sur Serein. There are no taxis waiting at either station. Costs depend on time of day and day of the week.

There is extremely limited public transport serving Noyers sur Serein. However, between mid-July and late August an inexpensive shuttle service is available several times a day between Noyers, Tonnerre and other nearby towns; this shuttle service is timed to coincide with some of the Tonnerre-Paris trains.

There is no bus or other public transport to or from Noyers sur Serein.

There is free parking available in and around the village.
