When she arrives in medieval Noyers in Burgundy to do a residency this spring, the adventurous Alyssa Polizzi of Colorado’s Spelunk Jewelry hopes to find unexpected creative material in the geology, geography, and history of this storied part of France. Running a Kickstarter campaign to help cover her costs, the young maker’s earthy, hand-hewn Colorado-inspired creations include rings made from antique drawer pulls and earrings textured by Colorado railway tie.
