How to Apply

All applicants, including those referred by a residency referral agency, must apply through the online application process. To apply, fill out the application form below.

Important: AI-generated applications or sections of applications (e.g., Project Description, Artistic Practice Description) will not be accepted. If it is suspected that a text is AI-generated, we generally recognise it right away, but we will also run it through an AI recognition programme. We may or may not offer a second chance to submit an application. Most of the time we reject such applications outright as we consider this disrespectful to what is a sincere and time-consuming process of application consideration. 

Application Periods and Deadlines

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please note that July, August and September are the most sought-after residency periods. If you are applying for a Partnership Residency, a Themed Residency, a Mentored Residency, or an Invitational Residency, please indicate this on the form in the “Further Information” section. If you are applying as part of a team or partnership, each individual must submit an application. If you are applying for an Emergency Residency due to war, natural disaster, or some other grave situation, please indicate this on the form in the “Further Information” section.

Notification

Applicants will be notified of admission status approximately 3 weeks after submission of an application.
